BÖHLER FOX CEL 70-P – Cellulose-coated stick electrode for pipeline welding
The BÖHLER FOX CEL 70-P is a low-alloy, cellulose-coated stick electrode specially developed for demanding welding work in pipeline and piping construction. It is particularly suitable for downhill welding on large pipelines and offers significantly greater cost-effectiveness compared to conventional uphill welding techniques.
The electrode is characterized by an intense arc and a very fluid weld pool. This achieves high deposition rates, good bead formation, and reliable process control. It is particularly suitable for hot pass, fill, and cap pass welding on higher-strength pipe steels.
Furthermore, the electrode is also suitable for applications in sour gas environments. Tests according to NACE TM-02-84 (HIC test) are available, as are values from SSC tests, qualifying it for demanding operating conditions in pipeline construction.
