Flux-cored wire Oerlikon Fluxofil 25
FLUXOFIL 25 is a rutile-based, fast-freezing flux-cored electrode specially developed for gas metal arc welding (MIG/MAG) of non-alloy and low-alloy steels. The electrode has a seamless construction and is suitable for all welding positions in spray arc. It is particularly optimized for use in boiler, vessel, and pipeline construction at operating temperatures up to 530 °C – a typical application is 16Mo3 steel [1].

Mechanical properties of the pure weld metal (untreated)
- **Yield strength:** ≥ 490 MPa
- **Tensile strength:** 550-650 MPa (depending on material)
- **Elongation:** ≥ 22 %
- **Impact energy (ISO-V, 20 °C):** ≥ 70 J
After heat treatment (620 °C × 1 h), the yield strength remains ≥ 470 MPa and the tensile strength 550-690 MPa, while the other values remain unchanged [1].
